// tinkerer. builder. director of learning technologies.
I'm a Director of Learning Technologies based in Metro Detroit. By day I help non-technical teams understand and use new tools, translating between the nerds and the people who just need it to work. By night I run a homelab, automate everything I can get my hands on, and find new rabbit holes to go down.
I hand-coded my first webpage in the early 2000s. Since then: home automation, self-hosted infrastructure, 3D printing, a growing collection of arcade games, more board games than any one household needs, and most recently an obsession with AI tools that actually solve real problems. I'm neurodivergent, which means I will tinker with something for four hours to get it working. For better or worse.
I'm married to Lindsey Billings, a wedding photographer who has been shooting for nearly 20 years. A lot of what I build, I build for her business first.
